Plato & the Vallis Alpes - mounted 6"x8" (approx.) fine-art print

This print is based on a pastel pencil sketch made at the eyepiece by Will on 6th March 2017. It shows the region on the lunar surface stretching from the magnificent crater Plato (right) to the spectacular valley known as the Vallis Alpes at left. Surrounding the Vallis Alpes are the peaks of the lunar Alps themselves while – to the south of Plato – the towering, 2200-metre-high, Mons Pico rises up from the Mare Imbrium casting its shadow far across the vast basalt plains. The view is horizontally flipped compared to the naked-eye view of the Moon.

What you'll get: a high-quality 6"x8"* giclée print on 300gsm fine-art paper presented within an attractive black card mount measuring 8"x10".

Print: Approximately 6"x8"
*Please note that, as a result of the mounting process, the amount of the print visible within the aperture of the card mount will be slightly less than 6"x8".
Surrounding card mount: "8x10"
